As a Ready-Mix Concrete Truck Driver, you will maintain a truck and deliver concrete in a safe, timely, and professional manner to commercial and residential construction job sites. The ideal candidate for the Driver position will be self-motivated, show attention to detail, possess a high level of customer service, and be team oriented.
Duties & Responsibilities

· Ensure the safe and timely delivery of concrete to the customer at the proper slump and to the proper jobsite.
· Assure product quality to the best of the driver’s ability.
· Communicate mixer/job status to dispatch.
· Maintain appearance of truck inside and out.
· Perform pre- and post- trip inspections (turned in daily) assuring that the mixer is safe and well maintained.
· Assemble concrete chutes where applicable.
· Assists in yard functions when needed and performs all duties assigned by management.
· Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
· Comply with all Federal, State, and local regulations for the safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle.
Physical Demands
· Ability to climb in and out of truck and up and down ladders. Twisting, turning, and bending over.
· Frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs), pulling, pushing, and carrying of accessory equipment used in transportation of concrete.
· Must be able to safely operate the truck and its auxiliary equipment such as levers, chutes, and mixing drums.
Job Qualifications/Requirements
· Must possess a valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and have an acceptable driving record.
· Must pass DOT drug screen and obtain and maintain a DOT physical card.
· Must be able to drive manual transmission commercial vehicles.
· Prior mixer driving experience preferred.
· Excellent driving skills and professional representation of the company.
· Must work effectively and cooperatively with other team members.
· Must be courteous and respectful to all customers.
· Flexible to work extended hours and weekends when necessary.
Schedule
· Monday - Friday (hours vary depending on daily job schedule).
· Occasional Saturday hours as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities
Sparrow Enterprises maintains a fleet of concrete mixer trucks, dump trucks, front-ended loaders, and other miscellaneous company vehicles and equipment. As a Diesel Mechanic- Shop Manager you will:
· Be responsible for all phases of the fleet maintenance and repairs to include preventative maintenance services to ensure proper performance, safety, and reliability of vehicles and equipment.
· Assess & perform diagnostic tests for routine maintenance procedures and determine a course of action for damaged parts and systems.
· Be responsible for determining the cost of repairs or maintenance and the ordering of necessary parts while keeping management informed about upcoming larger, costly repairs and maintenance.
· Meet with vendor salesman while keeping the time spent with them to a minimum in order to meet daily workload deadlines and maintain efficiency and productivity.
· Maintain parts inventory for routine maintenance and repairs.
· Manage tire program.
· Keep an accurate log of all work performed as required for DOT purposes.
· Be able to read and understand operative manuals and technical drawings.
· Test drive trucks before and after repairs, as needed.
· Be asked to occasionally drive truck when the workload requires.
· Supervise, communicate, and lead other shop teams members.
· Communicate regularly with other departments and management.

· Ensure that a safe workplace is maintained, based on company policies and MSHA/OSHA regulations.
· Assist with the gathering and presenting of topic requirement for in-house annual MSHA refresher training.
· Direct and coordinate operation, preventative maintenance, repairs, and malfunctioned of crushing plant.
· Monitor the plant to ensure it is running safely and production is meeting spec and is consistent.
· Perform daily checks on conveyors, screen deck and crusher box and any routine maintenance.
· Perform daily inspection of material stockpiles for inventory control.
· Supervise and maintain strong communications with crusher team members to ensure efficient and safe workflow.
· Complete all necessary paperwork in a timely manner.
· Order and maintain inventory of plant parts.
· Lead training, team development and performance evaluations to ensure continuous improvement objectives are maintained.
· Develop and implement operation methods and procedures designed to eliminate problems, improve product quality, and assure the operational status of the crusher plant is functioning properly.
